Welcome to Celitement!

Celitement GmbH is a foundation of Schwenk Group,  Karlsruhe Institute of Technology KIT and scientists of KIT. We investigate novel hydraulic binders while focussing on marketable products. We are able to use state of the art analytical equipement and rely on our long term expertise in construction materials.

Celitements are high-quality hydraulic binders, which can be obtained via a patented process with good energy efficiency. Both raw material input and carbon dioxid emission are low.

Celitement GmbH has engineered a pilot plant which is starting operation by now. The plant will supply sufficient quantities for testing of basic properties and recipes and also to get Celitements to market.

Furthermore, process optimization is the major topic of a reseach project funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research BMBF and Project Management Jülich ptj: "Celitement - developing a sustainable cement".
